Aux0 vs Nylas

Nylas is the established product here and covers far more mail providers than we do. We publish a price where they quote, we let you bring your own OAuth client from day one, and we put the sync state, the quota budgets and the delivery history on a screen your support team can open.

The short answer

Nylas has been the unified email and calendar API for years, and for a team that wants the broadest provider coverage with the longest track record it is a reasonable choice over us. This page exists because the two products get compared, so here is ours row by row, with the places they beat us marked as clearly as the places we beat them.

Which to pick

Pick Aux0 if

  • You want a price you can forecast without booking a call
  • You want your own brand on the consent screen without a migration
  • Your support team needs to see sync state and quota budgets, not file a ticket
  • You want iCloud, Fastmail and the DAV protocols as first-class, not an afterthought

Pick Nylas if

  • Your customers are on the long tail of regional mail providers
  • Scheduling or meeting notes are part of what you are buying
  • Your procurement needs a SOC 2 Type II report today
  • You want the vendor with the longest production track record

Not sure which side you are on? Tell us your case and we will say which of us fits it.

Where Nylas is ahead

Provider breadth and real maturity

250-plus mail providers with per-provider handling, years in production, and enterprise customers who have already put them through the review you are about to run. If coverage of the long tail is the requirement, they are the safer buy and we would say so on a call.

Scheduler and Notetaker

Nylas ships scheduling and meeting-notes products alongside the API. If you want those rather than building them, that is a real reason to pick them, and we have no answer to it.

SOC 2 Type II today

Theirs is certified and ours is in progress. A Type II report is a third-party attestation with an observation period, so this is not something we can close by wanting to. If your procurement needs it now, that settles it.

Questions

Is Aux0 a Nylas alternative?

For email, calendar and contacts, yes — the same object model over the same kind of providers. Nylas supports more mail providers than we do; we publish our pricing, support bringing your own OAuth client on every plan, and put the sync and quota state on a screen rather than only in the API.

Do I need my own Google OAuth client to use Aux0?

No. You can start on our verified Google and Microsoft clients and ship today. When you want your own brand on the consent screen, you supply your own credentials and it is a configuration change rather than a migration.

What does Aux0 not do that Nylas does?

Scheduling and meeting notes as products, the long tail of regional mail providers, and a SOC 2 Type II report. All three are real and we would rather you heard them here than found out later.
